MY NMT EXPERIENCE by Terri Dodge 11/19/2008
As I was looking for an interesting topic for my Ph.D. dissertation, a friend dropped by my house one day. She told me about Donna, who was thrilled by the results her disabled son was receiving from NMT treatments. Donna's son had severe allergies and was choking a great deal when trying to eat. With just a few NMT treatments, he was no longer suffering from his allergies and had had no choking episodes in weeks. I called Donna right away and she confirmed that her son was doing wonderfully and that she had never seen anything work like NMT!
I was impressed, especially because I had never heard of NMT. I went to speak with the local doctor, who told me that he was getting great results with NMT - or NeuroModulation Technique - with all kinds of ailments and health complaints. He directed me to Dr. Feinberg, the man who developed this technique and who soon - to my surprise - gave me the opportunity to attend his NMT classes and to become his student!
NMT was quite challenging for me to learn at first, but once I got the hang of it I started quickly getting fantastic results.
In the beginning I practiced on friends and animals. Anyone that would give it a try! My first really great experience was with a baby calf, whom I named Julie Ann Bovine. Her mother died in the birthing process and she was almost dead when the farmer - who happens to be my father - found her. He took her home and tried to get her to suck milk out of a bottle with no luck. Finally, in desperation he put a tube down her throat and force-fed her. Every day she refused to suck from the bottle, and he tube-fed her to keep her alive. Her tiny little body grew thinner and thinner with her eyes glazed over. She had no vitality. Patches of her hair were falling out all over her body. She was in a very sad shape.
I went to my dad and asked if I could try NMT on Julie Ann Bovine. He refused saying that he and the veterinary had already tried everything, and it didn't look good for the calf. He reasoned that if he let me work on the baby animal and she died, I'd blame myself and he just didn't want that. He and the veterinary were going to give her a few more days, and if she didn't improve, they would just have to do what they had to do. He recommended me to go home and forget about it.
He should have known better. I even considered stealing the calf out of the barn for a few days, but didn't know where to put her! So I just followed my father and continued to make my case for treating the calf. But truthfully he did not believe it would work. To be honest, he thought NMT sounded downright nuts!
Finally, I bargained with him that if he let me work with the calf just for a few days, and if it didn't work, I'd never mention NMT to him again! Now that was an offer he could not refuse! So he said, "OK, you've got five days.' So, if the calf was not better in that time, he did not want to hear one more thing about NMT again! EVER!
I chose to do the treatments from a distance. 10:00 AM each day I treated Julie Ann Bovine and kept finding more and more allergies. She was allergic to everything my father was feeding her and everything in the pen around her! Using what I had learned in NMT class, I cleared all the information faults I found and the next day I would find even more. - And then - after three days there were no more allergies! To my delight, Julie Ann was already looking better. Her eyes were no longer glazed over. She held her head up and was looking around curiously. At times she would stand, but her legs were shaky and she was still very weak. On the fourth day I found a Regional Field Fault in one of her stomachs. A Regional Field Fault is an energetically isolated area of the body. I cleared the informational disturbance, and at that moment I knew she was going to eat on her own!
I called my father immediately and told him she was going to eat that day on her own. No need to tube feed her any more. He didn't quite laugh out loud, but I knew from the tone of his voice that he didn't believe me for one moment.
Thirty minutes later, he calls me and yells into the phone, 'Get up here right now!' and hangs up on me! Since I live only a short distance away, I ran all the way to the barn. When I arrived I saw my dad watching in awe this skinny little calf kicking the milk bucket around her pen. Breathlessly I inquired, 'What's wrong?' My dad looked at me with this strange look on his face. 'She drank the milk out of the bucket! I just set it down there and she jumped up and came over and drank the milk out of that bucket! All of it!'
I was speechless. It was amazing! It was wonderful!
In just six short weeks we watched her strength increase as she started to put on weight. Her eyes gleamed with vitality and she grew more rambunctious each day. The hair that had fallen out in patches completely grew back. It was hard to believe that this was the same calf who only a short while ago looked as if death was imminent.
It has been three years since Julie Ann was born. I can't distinguish her from any other heifer in the herd, but my father can. Last week he took me to see her. She had her very first baby! Seeing her healthy and with her own newborn baby made me so happy all over again!
My patient's success is my success, and life doesn't get any better than that!
